About the Team
Through a decade of competition, outreach, and education FRC Team 6340 The Marist Manatees works to exemplify the power of robotics to build community and illuminate student potential. So that every student has the opportunity to design, build, code, dream, and innovate.
The season begins in January with the FIRST Robotics Competition game reveal. Then we begin our work by analyzing this year's game and drafting a game pan. We employ an iterative design process for the robot's subsystems. We then divide into smaller groups to optimize the implementation process for the game. Afterward, we reconvene as a team to discuss our smaller group ideas and synthesize a design based on the small group work.
FRC 6340 then competes in the Peachtree District at FRC Tournaments during the months of March and April.
During the Summer months 6340 assists with the REACH for Excellence Computer Science and Engineering program and competes in post season FRC events to train new members.
In the Fall The Marist Manatees continue traveling and competing in FRC post season events and assist with the Atlanta-Marist FIRST Tech Challenge League.
